Beginner Jazz & Blues Club

Held at The Crooked Billet Pub Hall, Billet Lane, Stanford Le Hope,

8pm - 10pm

I gave up music when I got to grade 5 clarinet as there was nowhere available for beginner level musicians to play, every orchestra wanted grades 7 or above and I got fed up playing to the 4 walls of the house.

Kaleo Music Studio's gave me the most amazing opportunity in 2021 to enable me to reach out to musicians of a beginner level to provide them with an outlet for their musical talent. The music is set for around grade 1 - 3 standard but more experienced players are welcome, especially if you would like to develop your improvisation techniques, learn all about Swing/Latin rhythms.

Although or journey began with Kaleo Music Studios and with the Kaleo Band backing us, due to a change in Kaleo Music Studio's having to change venue and an amazing opportunity for myself, 2022 see's the Jazz & Blues Group moving to the Billet Pub Hall in Stanford Le Hope on a Wednesday Evening.

We are still currently very small but we are growing, we also have gained a small rhythm section. The club is open to saxophone's & clarinets, trumpets, trombones, guitars, drums and bass.

So if you have an instrument sitting under the bed or are a beginner player looking to make new friends and have a giggle with like minded people come along and give us a go.
